Fear
Fear is often a type of feeling we get do to something we
feel uncomfortable about or threatened by. That fear may be
real such as the fear that someone you know will harm you if it
has been a turbulent relationship. Other fears though such as
of bugs, mice, or even the dark though often are made more than
they really are by the individual. This isn’t to say that they
don’t have a real fear of them, just that they can take action
to make the fear more acceptable or to diminish it all
together.

Fear of Death
There are many unknowns in our lifetime that will occur but
one thing is for certain, we will all die in the end. This is
fear that many people have and sometimes it is completely
unfounded. They may be having dreams that they are going to die
and that can be very frightening. Some individuals are afraid
to leave their children alone so they worry about it.

Fear of the
Dark
One of the biggest fears that children have is of the dark.
They may be just fine and then suddenly start to cry out at
night from it or refuse to go to bed. The child may have seen a
movie or heard a story that is causing the fear. They may have
older siblings that are enjoying the fear they put into them as
well. In many respects though it is a result of their growing
imagination.

Overcoming
Fear
Fears can be real or they can be something you have imagined
and then let take on a life of their own. In many instances
fear may be nothing more than a learn behavior and a set
response you have to the situation. Sometimes it isn’t the
object itself that causes the fear but the situation
surrounding it. You may have forgotten all about the situation
but not what you are afraid of. For example you may be afraid
of clowns but not know why. Likely you had a bad experience
with one long ago though.

What is
Fear
What is fear? The answer to that question depends on who you
ask. Humans have a way of being very different from each other
in this area. You may be terrified to try something new while
your spouse gets very excited over the possibilities and the
unknown. You may be fearful when it comes to speaking in public
while other people thrive on the attention and that fact that
they have the ability to captivate an audience in the
process.
