velocity when flowing down the side of a mountain. These
avalanches are a big danger and become of threat to life,
environment, and anything in its path. There are three basic

An avalanche is a very severe type of event that can occur
in the mountain areas. It involves large amounts of snow
falling and if there are people around they can get buried in
it. A person may only have a couple of minutes to get out from
underneath the snow in order to survive. Yet the weight of the
snow on them can make it impossible to do alone.

Avalanche Gear that is used by many rescue teams is often
complex and also needed every time they are attempting to
locate and rescue those caught up in the wrath of an avalanche.
In earlier days and sometimes yet today, those who were going
to ski or explore “high risk” areas where avalanches were known
to occur the individual would essentially wear a red rope.

Although avalanche safety could take on several issues to be
addressed there are some issues that are obviously more
important than others. Some of these issues about safety are
literally ignored by individuals who in all reality are sad,
simply because had that individual observed the avalanche
safety measures perhaps the individual would not get caught in
an avalanche.

Tent
Years ago avalanche tents were essentially used by many
individuals who were going on exploration expeditions on a
rather snowy mountain or slope. The avalanche tents were
considered four seasons in the terms that they could be heated
by heat lamps or other devices. The tents also kept the wind to
a minimum for those who were in an area of a slope or mountain
side that could be a potential danger for an avalanche.
